“Third Time’s a Charm”

Greetings. Wow, time flies when you’re having fun! The surprising Suffolk Center is already in its third year of operation. If you have yet to join us… you’ve missed a great deal – of fun!

Did you know the Suffolk Center offers year-round Visual and Performing Arts Classes for Kids, Teens and Adults? Did you know the Suffolk Center offers year-round Art Exhibits in our Galleries – and they are Free. Did you know the Suffolk Center has a one-of-a-kind gift shop – Jester’s as well as a cool café – Mosaic, plus many beautiful spaces to host your special events? That’s not all! Our intimate, state-of-the-art Birdsong Theatre has been called one of the most enjoyable new venues in the region!

Here’s a taste of the exceptional 2008-2009 performances coming your way. Grammy Award winners RITA COOLIDGE – LARRY GATLIN and THE NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND, as well as THE STYLISTICS. We have seven totally entertaining, and educational, Kids’ and Family Series shows from DR. SUESS’ – SUESSICAL to DISNEY’S® – RALPH’S WORLD. The Center has plenty of other cool performers. Some you’ll recognize like THE BELLAMY BROTHERS and MARIA MULDAUR. Some are up-and-coming, like gospel/R & B singer COKO and AMERICAN IDOL, Season 4 finalist, BO BICE.

Don’t forget the popular hit DISNEY’S® HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, plus timeless holiday fun with THE NUTCRACKER. Kids from 8 – 80 will have a smile on their faces after enjoying AN EVENING WITH LUCILLE BALL and THE RED SKELTON SHOW. Finally, I’m personally excited to direct the Suffolk Center’s first full-scale theatrical musical in March, the lovable classic, PETER PAN. Bring your kids and grandkids… see Peter fly! And as an added perk, you’ll have a chance to discover, or re-discover, beautiful downtown Suffolk!
